Our dies are built with D2 tool steel and ground to a clearance of 4% to 6% of material thickness. That clearance is the difference between a clean shear edge and a torn burr. We run progressive dies at 150–300 strokes per minute, and each station is monitored by a load sensor that flags any deviation above 0.5% of nominal tonnage. You are not stuck with one steel. We stock DC01 cold-rolled steel (0.5mm to 3.0mm), SUS301 spring steel, and SUS304 stainless. A conduit clip is a simple bend, but springback kills accuracy. We over-bend by 2° to 4° depending on the yield strength of the coil, and we calibrate that angle on the first 50 pieces of every run. Our in-house hardness tester (Rockwell B and C) verifies that the material is within spec before we touch the die. For a 1.0mm DC01 clip, you get a bend radius that matches your conduit outer diameter within 0.1mm, so the clip stays put under a 5 kg pull test.

Raw stamped edges are sharp enough to cut wiring insulation. We run every part through a vibratory finisher with ceramic media for 30 to 45 minutes, which brings edge radii to 0.1mm – 0.2mm. Then we wash and dry the parts in a degreasing line that removes all stamping oil. If you skip this step, your clamps will chafe cables during thermal cycling. We do not skip it. For high-volume orders over 50,000 pieces, we add a secondary tumbling step to ensure zero loose burrs inside the clip channel.
We pull 5 pieces from every 1,000-piece lot. Those 5 go to our 2.5D optical projector for hole position, width, and bend angle. One piece goes to the CMM for a full profile scan against your 3D PDF or STEP file. We keep the inspection report for 3 years, and we email it to you with the packing list. If a lot fails, it gets quarantined and reworked — it does not ship. That is why our return rate on stamped clamps is below 0.3% over the last 12 months.
If your conduit is an odd metric or inch size, we make a new progressive die in 15 days. Send us a sample of the conduit or a drawing with the OD and wall thickness.
