From Drawing to Production | Custom Stamped Parts, Sample Then Batch
From drawing to production
You send a drawing, we send a quote in 12 hours. Then the sequence is: drawing review, material and tolerance confirmed, tool built, sample, your approval, batch.
The drawing review is where the money is saved. If a tolerance is tighter than the function needs, or a radius is too small for the material thickness, we say it before the die is cut, not after. The sample is a real part off the production tool, not a hand-made model.
Sequence and lead time
| Drawing review | DFM notes and quote, 12 hours |
| Tool | built after you confirm material, tolerance and quantity |
| Sample | 7 to 10 working days, real parts off the production tool |
| Approval | you measure the sample; we adjust the tool if needed |
| Batch | 12 to 15 working days, packed with the inspection report |
FAQ
What do you need to quote?
A 2D drawing with tolerances and material, a 3D file if you have one, the quantity per order and per year, and the surface finish. If a tolerance is still open, send it anyway and we will confirm it in the review.
How long does the tool take?
Typically 3 to 5 weeks depending on stations and whether a progressive or single-hit die is the right answer. We tell you the tooling schedule with the quote.
Can you make the sample before we pay for the tool?
No. The sample is stamped on the production tool, so tooling comes first. That is exactly why the sample is trustworthy.
How is a batch packed?
Parts are deburred, counted and packed in boxes with paper or a bag between layers, and the dimensional report and material certificate go in the first box.
