Your ER40 collet chuck is machined to your drawing, not from a stock catalog. We verify every critical dimension before shipment. This is a precision manufacturing part, so we treat it as a tolerance-critical component.
We are a factory in Dongguan, China, with 20 years of CNC machining experience. You send the drawing. We make the part.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Material | Alloy steel (20CrMnTi, 8620, or 42CrMo4) |
| Hardness | 58–62 HRC (carburized or through-hardened) |
| Concentricity (TIR) | ≤ 0.005 mm at nose, ≤ 0.01 mm at taper |
| Taper accuracy | AT3 per DIN 6499 / ISO 15488 |
| Surface finish | Ra 0.4 µm on taper, Ra 0.8 µm on body |
| Coating (optional) | TiN, TiAlN, or black oxide |
| Machining process | CNC turning, CNC milling, grinding, wire EDM for slots |
| Inspection | CMM full report, hardness test, taper gauge check |
| Batch size | 1–10,000 pieces |
| Lead time | 7 days for prototypes, 12 days for production batches |
| MOQ | None – we quote and make single pieces |
We machine the taper on a CNC grinder, not a lathe. The slots are cut by wire EDM for consistent width and no burrs. The thread is rolled or cut to class 6H.
1. Batch-traceable quality. Every batch gets a heat number and a production lot code. If a problem appears in your assembly line, we can trace it back to the exact material batch and machine operator. This is not typical for small Chinese job shops.
2. Inspection report per batch. You get a full dimensional report with every shipment. This includes taper angle, concentricity, hardness, and surface roughness. We use a CMM and a calibrated taper gauge. The report is signed by our QC engineer.
3. One factory for CNC + stamping + spring + heatsink. Your collet chuck is not an isolated part. If your assembly needs a stamped retainer, a compression spring, or a heatsink for the spindle motor, we make all of them under one roof. One purchase order, one quality system, one shipping point. This reduces your supplier management cost and shortens your lead time.
A custom CNC collet chuck is not a shelf item. It is used in specific, high-precision applications:
If your drawing has a non-standard flange, a special thread, or a unique pull-back angle, we can machine it. We do not force you into a standard catalog shape.
Q: What is your MOQ? A: No MOQ. We make one piece for prototype validation or 10,000 pieces for production. The unit price drops with quantity, but we do not turn away a single-piece order.
Q: How do you guarantee tolerance and quality? A: We grind the taper after heat treatment. We measure concentricity on a precision spindle with a 0.001 mm indicator. Every part gets a CMM report. If the drawing calls for 0.005 mm TIR, we ship at 0.005 mm or better.
Q: What is your lead time? A: 7 working days for a prototype, 12 working days for a production batch of up to 1,000 pieces. For larger batches, we give you a firm date in the quote. We do not quote optimistic dates we cannot meet.
Q: Can you provide material certificates? A: Yes. We provide mill certificates for the raw material, heat treatment reports, and hardness test results. All documents are in English and can be notarized if your customer requires it.
Send us your 2D drawing or 3D model. We will review the material, tolerances, and coating. You will receive a firm quote within 12 hours.
