Electrical contacts are often stamped from 0.05 mm to 0.5 mm strip — thin material moves, springs back, and distorts. We use high-speed servo presses (25 to 60 tons) with closed-loop position control. Each die station is ground to a step of 0.002 mm, and we run in-die optical sensors that check critical dimensions every stroke. We measure burr height with a laser profilometer at the press — not just on a sample — and log the data per lot.
We do not ship blind. Each lot goes through a 2.5D optical projector for profile checks, a CMM for formed dimensions, and a hardness tester (Rockwell or Vickers, depending on thickness). We also run a salt spray test on plated contacts per ASTM B117 — 48 hours minimum, no white rust. For critical batches, we include an XRF coating thickness report. You get a full inspection certificate with every shipment, and we keep samples of each lot for 3 years in our archive.
