Custom CNC Collet Chuck Set 36 46 Type Precision Made in Chi

We run the 36 Type collet on our own CNC lathes and grinding machines. The slits are cut by wire EDM, not stamped, so the spring-back is consistent and repeatable across every piece in the batch.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Every heat number, every batch, every CMM report is filed by your part number. If you need to trace a defect back to a specific melt or shift, we can pull the record in minutes. This is precision manufacturing with a paper trail, not a guess.

2. Inspection report per batch. You get a dimensional report with every shipment. It lists bore diameter, taper angle, hardness, and surface finish for each lot. Your incoming QC can match our numbers against their own gauges without re-measuring everything.

3. One factory for CNC + stamping + spring + heatsink. Your collet is not the only part in your assembly. We also run CNC machining, metal stamping, spring coiling, and heatsink fabrication lines under one roof. Send us the whole BOM, and we coordinate the tolerances between parts. Fewer suppliers, fewer tolerance stack-ups, fewer logistics headaches.

Where these parts are used

The Auto Lathe 36 Type collet is a workholding component for automatic lathes and Swiss-type machines. It grips round, square, or hexagonal bar stock during turning, drilling, and threading operations.

Real applications include:

  • High-volume production of brass fittings and valve components
  • Precision pins and shafts for automotive fuel injectors
  • Medical implant screws and bone anchors (where repeatable grip force matters)
  • Electronic connector pins and terminals, produced on multi-spindle automatics
  • Fastener manufacturing, where the collet must hold hex stock without marring the surface

The top view design you see in the drawing is the gripping face. The slit pattern determines how evenly the collet closes around the bar. We tune the slit width and depth to your material hardness and bar tolerance, so you get maximum grip without deformation.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

What is the MOQ? There is no MOQ. We make one prototype for your fit test, or a thousand pieces for production. The per-piece price drops with quantity, but the setup and inspection cost is the same whether you order one or one hundred.

How do you guarantee tolerance and quality? We use CMM and air gauges for every critical dimension. The bore and taper are checked 100%, not sampled. If a dimension is out of spec, the part is scrapped, not reworked. Our inspection report shows the actual measured values, not just a pass/fail stamp.

What is the lead time for a custom CNC collet chuck? Prototype: 7–10 working days after drawing approval. Production: 15–20 working days, depending on material availability and heat treatment cycle. If you need faster, tell us at the quote stage—we can prioritize your order for a small expedite fee.

Do you provide material certificates? Yes. We supply mill certificates for the raw material, heat treatment reports, and hardness test results. If your customer requires a specific standard (ASTM, DIN, JIS), we source the material to that spec and provide the corresponding certificate.

Send your drawing

Email your PDF or STEP file to sc@bquq.com, or send it via WhatsApp at +86 13713157787. We reply with a firm quote within 12 hours, including price, lead time, and a DFM check on your geometry. If your design has a tight tolerance or an unusual material, we tell you upfront what is achievable and what is not.

No MOQ, no minimum order value, no obligation. Just a clear quote from a factory that has been making precision parts for 20 years. Send the drawing, and we will show you what a custom CNC collet chuck should cost.
