This is a custom CNC collet chuck, not an off-the-shelf item. You send the drawing. We handle the rest.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Material options | 20CrMnTi, 40Cr, 9Cr18, 12L14, SUS303, SUS304, SUS416 |
| Hardness | 58–62 HRC (carburized), 45–52 HRC (through-hardened) |
| Machining process | CNC turning, CNC milling, grinding, wire EDM |
| Tolerance | ±0.005 mm on bore, ±0.01 mm on OD, ±0.02 mm on length |
| Surface finish | Ra 0.4 µm on gripping surfaces, Ra 0.8 µm elsewhere |
| Thread accuracy | Class 2A/2B, verified with thread gauges |
| Slit width | 0.3–1.5 mm, EDM wire-cut, burr-free |
| Batch size | 1–50,000 pieces, no MOQ |
| Inspection | 100% critical dimensions, CMM report per batch |
| Lead time | 7 days for prototypes, 12 days for production runs |
We run these on Citizen and Star Swiss-type lathes, plus Tsugami and Hanwha CNC machines. Grinding is done on Studer and Jung internal/external grinders. This combination gives you roundness within 0.003 mm and concentricity within 0.005 mm TIR.
1. Batch-traceable quality Each collet gets a unique heat number. We record material lot, machine operator, and inspection results. If a problem shows up in your line, we trace it to the exact batch and correct it. No guesswork.
2. Inspection report per batch You get a full dimensional report with every shipment. Critical diameters, taper angles, slit widths, hardness values — all documented. Our QC team uses CMM, optical comparators, and hardness testers. Reports are signed and archived for three years.
3. One factory for CNC + stamping + springs + heatsinks Your collet chuck might need a spring, a stamped retainer, or a heatsink for a thermal application. We make all of them under one roof. Fewer suppliers, fewer handoffs, fewer tolerance stack-ups. One purchase order covers the whole assembly.
Our custom CNC collet chucks run in real production environments. Common applications include:
The 36 and 46 type refers to the spindle nose size. We match your machine's taper and pull-back geometry exactly. If you are not sure about the spec, send us your old collet or the chuck body drawing. We reverse-engineer it and quote within 12 hours.
Looking for a different part? We also machine Custom CNC Machined Auto Lathe 46 Type Hex Bore Extended Collet in the same Dongguan factory.
Q: What is your MOQ? A: No MOQ. We make one piece for prototype validation or 50,000 pieces for production. Pricing is tiered, but the first piece gets the same attention as the last.
Q: How do you guarantee tolerance and quality? A: We use in-process gauging and post-process CMM inspection. Critical dimensions are checked 100%. A full inspection report is included with each batch. If anything is out of spec, we replace it at no cost.
Q: What is your lead time? A: Standard lead time is 7–12 working days after drawing approval and material confirmation. For rush orders, we can ship in 5 days for an expedite fee. We do not quote lead times we cannot meet.
Q: Do you provide material certificates? A: Yes. Every batch comes with mill certificates for the raw material, heat treatment reports, and hardness verification. If you need third-party testing, we coordinate it at cost.
Precision manufacturing starts with a conversation. Send us your drawing, your old part, or even a sketch. We will review the geometry, suggest improvements if needed, and give you a firm quote within 12 hours.
