Opening

You need a collet chuck that holds tight, repeats true, and fits your auto lathe spindle exactly. We machine it from your drawing, not from a catalog guess. Every bore, every taper, every thread is cut to your specified geometry. Before shipment, each chuck is checked on a CMM and a test bar runout is recorded. You get the report, not just the part.

  • Tolerance: ±0.005 mm on bore and taper
  • Surface finish: Ra 0.4 µm on gripping surfaces
  • Lead time: 7–12 working days for standard steel, 15 days for hardened
  • No MOQ – one piece or one thousand, same process control
  • Made in China, Dongguan factory, 20 years in precision manufacturing

Custom CNC Collet Chuck 42 Type Square Bar Stock Precision M

We use Swiss-type auto lathes for the body and dedicated internal grinders for the bore. The square bore is cut with wire EDM, not broaching, so corners are sharp and stress-free. Each chuck is serialized. Batch records include heat treat furnace logs and material heat numbers.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Every heat lot is separated. We keep a sample from each batch for 24 months. If you have a failure in the field, we can trace the material, the heat treat cycle, and the operator. That is not common for collet chucks made in China – we do it as standard.

2. Inspection report per batch. You get a dimensional report with actual measured values, not just a pass/fail. Runout, bore size, taper angle, hardness – all printed and signed. For critical orders, we include the CMM scan data file. You can verify without re-measuring everything.

3. One factory for CNC + stamping + springs + heat sinks. Your collet chuck is not an isolated part. If your assembly also needs a spring, a stamped bracket, or a heat sink, we make them under the same roof. One purchase order, one quality system, one shipping date. Fewer suppliers means fewer surprises.

Where these parts are used

  • Swiss-type CNC auto lathes – main spindle and sub-spindle collets for bar stock up to 46 mm. Common on Citizen, Star, and Tsugami machines.
  • Multi-spindle automatics – square bore collets for hex or square stock in screw machines. Used in high-volume brass and aluminum parts.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic chuck systems – replacement collets for quick-change tooling on CNC turning centers.
  • Medical device machining – small diameter collets for titanium and stainless pins, where runout below 0.005 mm is mandatory.
  • Automotive fuel injector components – hardened collets for grinding and turning of needle valves and nozzles.
  • Aerospace fasteners – hex and square collets for bolt blanks, where surface finish and repeatability affect thread rolling quality.

In all these cases, the collet chuck is the last thing between the spindle and the part. If it does not grip true, nothing else matters.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: What is your MOQ? A: No MOQ. We make one piece for prototypes and thousands for production. The per-piece price drops with quantity, but the quality process is identical.

Q: How do you guarantee tolerance and quality? A: We cut to your drawing, not to a standard. Each chuck is measured on a CMM and a test bar runout is checked. You receive the inspection report with the shipment. If any dimension is out of spec, we replace it at no cost, including freight.

Q: What is your lead time? A: 7 working days for soft steel, 12 for hardened, 15 if you need balancing. For urgent orders, we can expedite to 5 days at a 20% surcharge. We ship via DHL, FedEx, or your forwarder.

Q: Can you provide material certificates? A: Yes. We supply mill certificates for the raw material, heat treat reports with furnace curves, and hardness test results. All documents are in English and stamped by our QC department.
