Product details

This is a CNC-machined Led Street Light Heatsink built for 50W to 400W LED modules. We hold flatness to 0.02 mm and surface finish to Ra 0.8, which means your LED driver and COB chips sit perfectly flush for maximum thermal transfer. We ship from our Dongguan factory in 5 days for prototypes and 15 days for production runs — and we enforce no MOQ, so you can test one piece before committing.

Why Flatness of 0.02 mm Matters for LED Lifespan

An LED chip that lifts off the heatsink by just 0.1 mm sees junction temperature rise by 8–12°C. That cuts lumen output by 15% and shortens driver life by 30%. Our machining process holds the mounting surface flat within 0.02 mm, verified on a granite surface plate with a dial indicator. You get consistent thermal resistance below 0.5°C/W for a 100W module — not a lab promise, but a measured value on every batch.

Materials We Stock: 6063-T5 vs 6061-T6 for Street Light Bodies

We stock two extruded alloys specifically for street light housings. 6063-T5 gives you 12–14 W/m·K better conductivity than die-cast ADC12, and we use it for vertical fin designs where weight matters. 6061-T6 is harder (95 HB) and we recommend it for the base plate where the LED board mounts, because it resists warping during thermal cycling. Both are cut, milled, and anodized in-house — no outsourcing, no tolerance drift.

Fin Geometry That Actually Moves Air — Not Just Looks Cool

Typical street light heatsinks fail because fins are too short or too closely pitched. We machine fins from 25 mm to 80 mm tall with a minimum gap of 6 mm — that gap allows natural convection at 0.5 m/s wind speed. For forced-air designs, we add a 2 mm radius at the fin base to eliminate stress risers that crack during vibration testing. Our CNC programs are tuned to hold fin thickness of 2.5 mm ±0.1 mm, so you get consistent surface area across the entire part.

Anodizing and Corrosion Protection for 10-Year Outdoor Life

Raw aluminum corrodes in salt fog within 200 hours. We offer Class AA anodizing (18–20 microns) that passes 1000-hour salt spray testing per ASTM B117. That coating also gives you a dielectric layer — meaning no galvanic corrosion between the aluminum base and your copper LED board. We offer black anodize (emissivity 0.88) that radiates heat better than bare metal, and we can mask off the mounting surface if you need bare aluminum for thermal paste adhesion.

CNC Machining Tolerances We Hold on Every Axis

Our 3-axis and 4-axis CNC centers hold positional accuracy of ±0.015 mm. For the critical mounting holes (M3 or M4), we ream to H7 tolerance — that's +0.012/0.000 mm, so screws seat without stripping. Edge break is 0.2 mm max, and we deburr every hole with a 45° chamfer. If you need tighter than 0.02 mm flatness for a large 400W unit, we use a secondary grinding pass at +0.5 day lead time. For a deeper look at how we select tooling to achieve this, read our CNC cutting tool selection guide.

Inspection Report Included: Thermal Resistance and Dimensional Data

Every Led Street Light Heatsink ships with a CMM (coordinate measuring machine) report. We measure: 24 critical dimensions, flatness across the LED mounting area, perpendicularity of fins to base, and thread depth for all tapped holes. For thermal verification, we test one part from each batch with a thermocouple at 100W input — you get the temperature rise delta in the report. No hidden pass/fail — we send you the raw numbers so you can compare against your thermal simulation.

Packing for Container Shipping Without Bent Fins

Bent fins are the #1 complaint in imported heatsinks. We pack each unit in a 5-layer corrugated box with a foam insert that supports every fin individually. For orders over 200 pieces, we use wooden crates with moisture barrier bags. Each crate holds max 50 kg so forklift handling doesn't crush the bottom layer. We ship via sea freight (12–18 days to US West Coast) or air freight (3–5 days) — both options available with no MOQ, so even a single prototype is boxed to survive the journey.

What is your minimum order quantity?

We have no MOQ — you can order one prototype or 10,000 units at the same per-piece pricing structure, and we only charge a small setup fee for first articles.

Can you customize the fin pattern for our specific LED layout?

Yes — send us your LED board dimensions and wattage, and our engineers will simulate the fin height and pitch for your target junction temperature within 24 hours, free of charge.

How do you guarantee quality on a made-in-China product?

We are an ISO 9001:2015 certified factory with in-process inspection every 2 hours, and we ship a full CMM report with every order — you don't have to trust us, just read the numbers.

What is your realistic lead time for a 500-piece order?

For 500 pieces of a standard 100W heatsink, we quote 15 days from drawing approval to shipment — this includes anodizing and final inspection, and we've hit this timeline for 98% of orders in the last year.

If you are working with tight dimensional requirements, also check our CNC machining tolerances guide to understand what we can hold on thin walls and deep pockets.
