Phosphor Bronze Corrugated Spring Washer Stamping from BQUQ gives you a load-bearing washer that stays elastic after 100,000 cycles. We hold flatness within 0.02 mm and thickness tolerance ±0.01 mm, with a standard lead time of 5 working days for prototypes. Hardness sits at 80–100 HRB, not HRC, because phosphor bronze needs spring temper, not brittle hardness.
A flat washer only distributes load. A corrugated washer adds axial deflection — it pushes back against loosening bolts. Our stamping die forms three or five waves, giving you a spring rate of 15–40 N/mm depending on thickness. We control wave height within ±0.03 mm so your preload stays predictable. If you need a lock washer that survives high-frequency vibration on a motor mount or PCB standoff, this geometry works.
We run both C5191 (tin 5–7%) and C5210 (tin 7–9%) in strip form. C5191 gives you higher fatigue strength for repeated compression; C5210 offers better corrosion resistance in salt spray. Both come in half-hard, hard, and extra-hard tempers. For most washer applications, we recommend extra-hard C5191 — it returns to shape after 10% deflection without cracking at the wave peaks.
Corrugated washers crack when the bend radius is too tight. Our dies use a minimum inside radius of 1.5× material thickness, never less. We also add a coining step at the wave crest — that compresses the grain structure and removes micro-tears from the initial bend. Result: no edge cracks in 99.7% of parts after 50,000 stamping hits. We check every die with a profilometer before production starts.
Stamping leaves a burr on the shear edge. For a spring washer, burrs can cut into your mating surface. We limit burr height to 0.05 mm maximum, and our secondary vibratory finishing brings surface roughness to Ra 0.4 µm. If you need a mirror finish for electrical contact, we add a brush-polish step — that takes 2 extra days but removes all tooling marks.
We measure 100% of critical dimensions on a CMM for orders under 1,000 pieces. For larger runs, we use an automated optical inspector that checks wave height, outer diameter, and thickness on every 50th part. We also do a compression test on 5 pieces from each batch: we compress the washer to 70% of its free height and verify it springs back within 3% of original. If any washer fails, the whole batch gets reworked.
Prototype tooling takes 7 days, production tooling 15 days. Once the die is approved, first articles ship in 5 working days. We have no MOQ — order 10 pieces or 100,000, same quality control. Our factory in Dongguan runs 24/5, so rush orders (3-day lead) are possible with a 20% surcharge. All parts are made in China, but we ship DDP to the US and EU with full material certificates.

Zero — we take any quantity, from a single prototype to high-volume production, with no setup fee for orders above 500 pieces.
Yes, we change wave count from 3 to 7, adjust outer diameter in 0.5 mm steps, and select C5191 or C5210 in half-hard, hard, or extra-hard temper based on your load requirement.
Every washer in a batch under 1,000 pieces is measured individually with a CMM and a wave-height gauge; we send you a full inspection report with photos.
Production tooling takes 15 days, then we stamp 10,000 pieces in 3 days — total 18 working days, or 12 days with our rush option.
For your next project, check our CNC cutting tool selection guide if you also plan to machine the mating part, and review our CNC machining tolerances guide to match stamping tolerances with your assembly. Both guides cover real shop-floor limits, not theoretical numbers.
