Custom CNC Collet Chuck Sets 15 20 25 32

We run these on our own CNC lathes and machining centers. Slotting is done with wire EDM for repeatable accuracy. Grinding is done in-house on cylindrical and surface grinders. Heat treatment is subcontracted to a certified partner, but we verify hardness on every batch.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Each batch gets a unique job number. We record material heat number, machine operator, inspection results, and heat treatment data. If a problem appears in your line, we trace it back to the exact batch and date. No mystery parts.

2. Inspection report per batch. You get a full dimensional report with every shipment. We measure bore diameter, slot width, concentricity, hardness, and surface finish. The report shows actual measured values, not just a pass/fail stamp. Your QC team can trust it.

3. One factory for CNC, stamping, springs, and heat sinks. BQUQ runs four production lines under one roof. If your collet needs a spring-loaded pusher, a stamped retainer, or a heat sink for the spindle, we make it all. One purchase order, one shipping point, one quality standard. This cuts your supplier management time in half.

Where these parts are used

This 38 type collet is standard on Swiss-type auto lathes and CNC sliding headstock machines. It grips square bar for parts like:

  • Square drive shafts for small motors and pumps
  • Hex and square fasteners machined from bar stock
  • Precision square blanks for watch components
  • Electrical connector pins with square cross-sections
  • Small square tool holders for automatic tool changers
  • Square brass or steel stock for valve components

The collet's job is to hold the bar rigidly without marking the surface. Our hardened and ground gripping surfaces do exactly that. You get consistent feed-out and repeatable part length, even at 8,000 RPM spindle speeds.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: Is there really no MOQ? A: Correct. We make 1 piece for prototype validation or 5,000 pieces for production. The unit price drops with quantity, but the quality standard is identical. Many buyers start with 2-3 test pieces to verify fit on their machine.

Q: How do you guarantee tolerance and quality? A: We use CNC machines with ±0.002 mm positioning accuracy. Wire EDM holds slot width to ±0.005 mm. Every collet is measured on a CMM or with calibrated micrometers. We send the inspection report with the shipment. If anything is out of spec, we replace it at no cost.

Q: What is your typical lead time? A: Prototypes (1-5 pieces) ship in 7 working days. Production batches (50-500 pieces) ship in 10-12 working days. Larger orders may take 15 days. We confirm exact lead time when you send the drawing.

Q: Can you provide material certificates? A: Yes. We supply mill certificates for the raw steel, heat treatment records, and hardness test reports. If you need full traceability to the heat number, we include that in the batch documentation.
