Custom CNC Collet Chuck Set 36 46 Type Precision Made in Chi

We use CNC lathes for the outer profile and bore, then internal grinders for the taper. Slotting is done on wire EDM for consistent width and zero burr. Each collet is serialized for traceability.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Every heat treatment batch gets a unique code. We record hardness, tempering time, and final inspection results against that code. If you have a problem in the field, we trace it back to the exact batch and date. This is precision manufacturing with a paper trail.

2. Inspection report per batch. You get a dimensional report for every batch we ship. It lists bore diameter, taper angle, slot width, and hardness values. The report is signed by our QC lead and stamped. No generic "certificate of conformance" – you get real numbers.

3. One factory for CNC, stamping, springs, and heat sinks. Your collet chuck is not an isolated part. If your assembly also needs a stamped retainer ring, a compression spring for the chuck nut, or a heat sink for the motor drive, we make all of them under one roof. One purchase order, one quality standard, one shipping date. Fewer vendors, fewer delays.

Where these parts are used

These collet chucks are not shelf parts. They are made to fit specific autolathe spindles and workholding systems. Typical applications:

  • Swiss-type and sliding-head autolathes – gripping bar stock from 3 mm to 32 mm diameter during high-speed turning.
  • Multi-spindle automatics – replacing worn or out-of-spec collets to restore concentricity on production lines.
  • Secondary machining fixtures – holding pre-machined parts for drilling, milling, or thread rolling.
  • Replacement for OEM collets – when the original supplier cannot match your lead time or price, we reverse-engineer from your sample or drawing.

Buyers in automotive, medical device, and fastener industries use these collets daily. The 15 and 20 types fit smaller bar stock; the 25 and 32 types handle heavier cutting loads. All are ground after heat treatment to hold runout under 0.01 mm.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: What is the MOQ? A: No MOQ. We make one piece or one thousand. The unit price drops with quantity, but we do not force you to buy more than you need. Many buyers order a single prototype to test fit, then scale up.

Q: How do you ensure tolerance and quality? A: We grind the bore and taper after heat treatment. That is the only way to hold ±0.005 mm. We check every collet with a bore gauge and a taper ring gauge. Then we sample 5% on a CMM and include the report with your shipment.

Q: What is the lead time for a custom collet chuck? A: Prototype (1–5 pieces): 7 days. Production (50+ pieces): 15 days. If you need faster, tell us – we can split the batch and air-freight the first pieces.

Q: Do you provide material certificates? A: Yes. Every batch comes with a mill certificate for the raw material and our own heat treatment report. We keep records for 10 years. If your customer requires full traceability, we add it at no extra cost.
