All collets are stress-relieved after rough machining, then ground in one setup. This keeps bore and taper concentric. We do not skip tempering.

Where these parts are used
Auto Lathe 46 Type collets are for Swiss-type and sliding headstock lathes that feed round bar stock. Typical applications:
Medical device pins and bone screws – need tight concentricity to hold bar without marks
Watch and instrument components – small diameters, high repeatability
Automotive fuel injector nozzles – bore tolerance holds bar straight during machining
Electronics connector pins – brass or stainless bar, 1–6 mm diameter

In each case, the collet grips the bar with even pressure. A poor collet means chatter, oval parts, or bar slippage. Our ground bore and taper eliminate that.

A: No MOQ. We make one piece for prototype validation, then scale to your volume. Tooling is standard for 46 Type, so setup cost is low.
Q: How do you guarantee tolerance and quality?
A: We grind the bore and taper in one clamping. Then every part is checked on a CMM with a 0.001 mm resolution. The inspection report is included in the shipment. If any dimension is out, we rework or replace at no cost.
Q: What is the lead time for a custom collet?
A: For 1–50 pieces, 7 working days. For 51–500 pieces, 12 working days. For larger orders, we confirm a schedule within 24 hours of drawing review.
Q: Can you provide material certificates?
A: Yes. We supply mill test certificates for A2, D2, 4140, or any specified grade. Certificates are traceable to the batch heat number.
