Opening

Your 30 type collet starts as a drawing. We machine it from solid steel or alloy bar, then cut the slots and grind the bore. Every unit is checked against your print before it leaves our floor. No exceptions.

We are BQUQ, a precision manufacturing factory in Dongguan, China. We have run CNC lines for 20 years. Collets are not a side product for us; they are daily work.

  • Tolerance: ±0.005 mm on bore and taper
  • Lead time: 7-10 days for prototypes, 15 days for production runs
  • MOQ: No minimum. One piece is fine.
  • Material: 20CrMnTi, 65Mn, or 9SiCr, case-hardened to HRC 58-62

Custom CNC Collet Chuck 25 Type Auto Lathe Round Stock

We use CNC lathes for the blank, then jig grinding for the bore and taper. Slots are cut by wire EDM to avoid burrs. Hardening is done in a vacuum furnace to keep distortion below 0.01 mm.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Each heat of material gets a unique lot number. We record the hardness curve and final grind dimensions for every batch. If you need to trace a bad part back to its raw bar, we can show you the records.

2. Inspection report per batch. You get a dimensional report with every shipment. It lists bore size, taper angle, concentricity, and hardness. We also include photos of the CMM probe points if you ask. This is not a generic certificate; it is your actual part data.

3. One factory for CNC + stamping + springs + heat sinks. Your collet is not the only part you need. Many buyers send us a full assembly: a collet, a spring retainer, a stamped housing, and a heat sink for the spindle motor. We make all four under one roof. That means one purchase order, one quality system, and one freight bill.

Where these parts are used

A 30 type collet is a workhorse in high-volume turning. You will find it in:

  • Swiss-type and automatic lathes for medical screw blanks and dental implant parts. The bore holds Ø5 mm titanium bar at 8,000 RPM without chatter.
  • Pneumatic collet chucks on secondary operations. Operators load pre-machined pins or shafts into the collet for end-facing or cross-drilling.
  • Indexing spindles in multi-station rotary tables. The collet grips round bar stock while a milling head cuts flats or slots.
  • Test fixtures in quality labs. We make custom bore sizes to hold gauge pins or master balls for CMM calibration.
  • High-speed spindle adapters for PCB drilling. The 30 type taper fits standard spindle noses, and the hardened bore resists wear from fiberglass dust.

In every case, the collet must repeat to within a few microns over thousands of cycles. That is why we grind the taper and bore in the same setup, not in separate operations.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: What is your MOQ? A: No MOQ. We make one prototype or 10,000 pieces at the same unit price structure. Prototypes are slightly higher per piece because of setup, but there is no minimum order charge.

Q: How do you guarantee tolerance and quality? A: We grind the bore to H5 and check 100% of parts with an air gauge. Taper angle is verified with a sine bar and dial indicator. Every batch ships with a dimensional report. If a part is out of spec, we replace it at our cost, including freight.

Q: What is your lead time? A: 7-10 days for a prototype after drawing approval. Production runs of 500+ pieces take 15 days. For urgent orders, we can rush a single piece in 72 hours at a 20% surcharge.

Q: Do you provide material certificates? A: Yes. We supply mill certificates for the raw bar stock, heat treatment reports, and a RoHS/REACH declaration if needed. All documents are in English and stamped by our QC manager.

Send your drawing

Stop guessing if a Chinese supplier can hold your tolerances. We have the machines, the gauges, and the records to prove it.

Email your 2D or 3D drawing to sc@bquq.com. Include the bar stock diameter, required bore size, and any hardness spec. We will reply with a firm quote in 12 hours, not a vague estimate.
