Opening

We machine your 25 type collet to your drawing, not from a catalog. Every dimension is verified before shipment. You send the print; we handle the rest.

At a glance: Tolerance ±0.005 mm on bore and taper, lead time 7–10 working days, no MOQ. One piece or one thousand, same process.

This is a precision manufacturing part for auto lathes running round bar stock. It is not a stock item. It is made to fit your spindle nose, your bar diameter, and your material.

Custom CNC Machined Auto Lathe 36 Type External Thread Exten

We use CNC lathes for the outer profile, then internal grinders for the bore and taper. Slits are cut by wire EDM to avoid deformation. Hardening is done in vacuum furnaces to keep distortion under 0.02 mm.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Each batch gets a heat number and a job number. If you have a problem in six months, we can trace the steel, the heat treatment, and the operator. No guesswork.

2. Inspection report per batch. You get a dimensional report with every shipment. It lists bore diameter, taper angle, hardness, and surface finish. You do not have to re-measure everything on arrival. We do it before packing.

3. One factory for CNC + stamping + springs + heat sink. Your collet chuck is not the only part you need. If your assembly also needs a spring, a stamped bracket, or a heat sink, we machine the collet and make the other parts under one roof. One PO, one quality standard, one shipping date.

Where these parts are used

Our custom CNC collet chuck is used in auto lathes (Swiss type and sliding headstock) for holding round bar stock. Typical applications:

  • Medical device manufacturing: Holding stainless steel bar for bone screws and surgical pins. Bore tolerance matters because the part wall is thin.
  • Electronics connectors: Machining brass or copper bars for pin terminals. The collet must grip without marking the surface finish.
  • Automotive fuel injectors: Round bar stock for nozzle bodies. Taper accuracy keeps runout under 0.01 mm.
  • Fastener production: High-volume screw and bolt blanks. Hardened collets last longer between regrinds.
  • Watch and instrument parts: Small diameters, 1–5 mm bar. Slit geometry must be consistent to avoid bar pushback.

If you run round bar on an auto lathe, you are a potential user. The collet is the interface between your spindle and your material. It is not the place to save money.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: Is there a minimum order quantity? A: No. We make one piece for prototypes and thousands for production. The unit price drops with quantity, but the setup quality is identical.

Q: What tolerance can you hold on the bore and taper? A: We hold ±0.005 mm on the bore and ±0.002° on the taper angle. We verify with a calibrated taper gauge and air gauge. If your drawing is tighter, send it. We will tell you if it is feasible before quoting.

Q: What is your typical lead time? A: 7–10 working days for standard 25 type collets. Complex prints with special hardening or exotic materials take 15 days. We ship by DHL or FedEx, door to door.

Q: Do you provide material certificates? A: Yes. We provide mill certificates for the steel, heat treatment reports, and a full dimensional inspection report. All are included free with your shipment.
