We machine two primary alloys for marine use. C46400 naval brass offers 110 MPa tensile strength and resists dezincification — the #1 failure mode in sea water. C36000 free-cutting brass gives you 30% faster machining cycles but is only suitable for interior or freshwater applications. For exposed hardware, we default to C46400. Both alloys are stocked in round bar from 6 mm to 100 mm diameter, and hex bar from 10 mm to 50 mm across flats. Our precision manufacturing process holds surface finish at Ra 0.8 µm on sealing surfaces and Ra 1.6 µm on cosmetic areas. Marine fittings fail at threads first.
