CNC Machined Servo Motor Parts are the structural and rotational core of your servo system—housings, shafts, flanges, end bells, and encoder mounts. We machine them to ±0.005 mm positional tolerance, hold runout under 0.01 mm on critical diameters, and deliver in 15 days standard. Hardness up to HRC 58 with black oxide or hard anodize, all from our 20-year-old Dongguan factory.
Runout kills servo performance. We machine rotor shafts and bearing seats in one clamping setup on 5-axis DMG MORI mills. This eliminates re-fixturing error. We measure every shaft with a Talyrond 365 roundness tester, not a hand gauge. Typical results: 0.008 mm circular runout on Ø25 mm bearing journals. For longer shafts over 300 mm, we use steady rests and compensate for thermal growth in the CAM post-processor. If your drawing calls for 0.02 mm, we hit 0.01 mm. If it calls for 0.005 mm, we tell you upfront if it is grind-only.
Servo parts see heat, vibration, and continuous torque. We stock 6061-T6 aluminum for housings—yield strength 276 MPa, then hard anodize to 60 HRC equivalent surface. For shafts, we use 4140 pre-hardened to HRC 28-32, or 17-4PH stainless for corrosive washdown environments. If you need case-hardened shafts, we carburize 8620 to HRC 58-62, depth 0.8-1.2 mm. We also machine 1215 free-cutting steel for prototype runs, then switch to 4140 for production. All material certs come with the shipment, traceable to the heat number.
Rotary seals fail fast on rough surfaces. We turn seal diameters to Ra 0.4 µm and polish to Ra 0.2 µm when your spec demands it. On aluminum housings, we use diamond-tipped inserts at 2500 RPM with a 0.05 mm/rev feed—this gives a burnished finish without secondary polishing. Every sharp edge gets a 0.2 mm chamfer or radius, deburred manually and then tumbled for 30 minutes. No burrs, no sharp corners. We do not ship parts with machining marks on visible faces—we break edges uniformly, and we do it before anodizing, not after.
You get a full inspection report with every order, not just for PPAP. We use a Zeiss CMM for dimensional checks on all critical features—hole positions, bore diameters, and face flatness. Runout is measured on the Talyrond, and we attach the actual polar plot to the report. Surface finish is verified with a Mitutoyo SJ-210 profilometer. For batches over 100 pieces, we inspect 5 pieces per pallet; for smaller batches, 100% inspection. If any dimension drifts, we stop the line and re-fixture. You will never receive a batch with a missing report.
We run a no-MOQ policy. Send one drawing, get one part in 7 days. For production, 15 days for 500 pieces, 25 days for 5,000 pieces. We keep 6061-T6 and 4140 bar stock in-house in diameters from Ø10 mm to Ø250 mm. For aluminum housings, we have 8 CNC mills with 4th axis; for shafts, 6 CNC lathes with live tooling. This means no queue for material and no waiting for a free machine. If you need faster, we can split the order across two shifts and cut lead time by 30%—ask for the expedite rate.
Your part geometry drives price more than material. Deep bores over 3× diameter require special boring bars and slower feeds. Tight runout under 0.005 mm adds a grinding pass—that doubles machining time. Hard anodize adds 3-5 days and about 15% cost. Threads smaller than M3 add tooling breakage risk, so we quote them with a 10% scrap allowance. We quote honestly: if you design for standard tolerances (±0.01 mm) and standard finishes (Ra 0.8 µm), your price drops 20-30%. Before you send the drawing, read our CNC cutting tool selection guide to see how tool choices affect surface finish and cost. And check our CNC machining tolerances guide to understand what we can hold without grinding.
Steel shafts arrive rust-free, or we eat the cost. We apply VCI (vapor corrosion inhibitor) paper wrap, then place each part in an individual poly bag with desiccant. For aluminum parts, we use anti-static foam trays to prevent scratches on the anodized surface. Export crates are plywood, heat-treated and stamped ISPM-15. We ship via DHL or FedEx for small batches (3-5 day delivery to US/EU), and by sea freight for full pallets (30-35 days to Los Angeles or Hamburg). Every box has a packing list with the PO number and a QR code linking to your inspection report.
