Opening

Your toolholder is only as accurate as the weakest interface. We machine ER collet nuts and collet chucks to your exact drawing, not to a generic catalog spec. Every thread, every taper, every relief angle is cut to your print. Before any batch ships, we verify critical dimensions on a CMM and record the results.

At a glance: Tolerance ±0.005 mm on thread pitch and taper angle. Lead time 7–12 days for standard sizes, 15 days for custom profiles. No MOQ. Batch traceability via heat number and machining lot code.

Custom CNC Machined ER32 Collet Chuck with Spanner Wrench

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Each bar stock has a heat number. Each machined part gets a lot code stamped on the non-functional face. If a problem appears in your assembly line, you can trace it back to the exact batch, machine, and operator. We keep records for 5 years.

2. Inspection report per batch. You get a dimensional report with every shipment. It lists thread pitch, taper angle, hardness, and surface finish for each lot. No vague "certificate of conformance." You see the actual measured values. If you need a full PPAP or material cert, we provide that too.

3. One factory for CNC + stamping + spring + heatsink. Your collet chuck assembly may need a spring, a stamped retainer, or a heatsink for a high-speed spindle. Instead of coordinating three suppliers, you send us one drawing package. We machine the nut, stamp the washer, wind the spring, and extrude the heatsink under one roof. One PO, one quality system, one shipping date.

Where these parts are used

Our custom CNC collet chucks and ER collet nuts run in real production environments:

  • CNC milling spindles – ER25 and ER32 nuts for tool retention in vertical and horizontal machining centers.
  • CNC lathes – ER16 and ER20 collet chucks for bar feeding and second-operation workholding.
  • Automatic tool changers – Precision ground ER collet nuts with pull studs for ATC magazines.
  • High-speed engraving – ER11 collet chucks for PCB drilling and small-diameter end mills, where runout below 0.005 mm is mandatory.
  • Robotic deburring cells – Custom-length collet chucks for abrasive tools and mounted points.
  • Medical device machining – Stainless ER collet nuts for cleanroom environments, where material certs and surface finish are audited.

We also make non-standard variants: extended-length nuts, slotted nuts for coolant through-spindle, and nuts with special drive flats for automated tightening.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: What is your MOQ? A: No MOQ. We accept a single piece for prototype validation. For production runs, we offer tiered pricing at 50, 200, and 500 pieces. You pay for the first article, not for a minimum batch.

Q: How do you guarantee tolerance and quality? A: We cut threads with single-point CNC turning, not taps, so pitch accuracy is consistent. Every part passes a go/no-go thread gauge. Taper angle is checked on a CMM with a 0.5 µm resolution probe. We send the inspection report with the shipment. If any part fails your incoming check, we replace it at no cost.

Q: What is your lead time for a custom CNC collet chuck? A: Standard ER sizes with common materials ship in 7–12 days. Custom profiles with special hardening or coating take 15 days. For urgent tooling breakdowns, we can expedite a single piece in 72 hours at a 20% surcharge.

Q: Do you provide material certificates and heat treatment reports? A: Yes. We supply mill certificates for the raw material, heat treatment curves, and hardness test reports. For medical or aerospace applications, we provide full traceability from melt to final grind.
