Opening

Your 5C collet set starts as a drawing, not a stock number. We machine each collet to your exact bore diameter, step, and slot geometry. Before shipment, every piece is verified on a CMM and matched against your print.

This is precision manufacturing for lathe work that cannot tolerate runout.

  • Tolerance: ±0.005 mm on bore ID
  • Lead time: 7–12 days for standard sets, 15 days for custom profiles
  • No MOQ: order one collet or a full set
  • Material: 8620 case-hardened steel or 12L14 free-cutting steel
  • Made in China, shipped worldwide from our Dongguan factory

Custom CNC Collet Chuck Holder Precision Manufacturing Made

We do not use cast blanks. Each collet is turned from solid bar, ground on the OD and bore, then wire-cut for the expansion slots. This gives you repeatable clamping force across the entire set.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Every collet gets a batch code. That code links to the heat number, machine operator, and inspection data. If a problem shows up on your line, you can trace it back to the exact bar stock and shift. No guesswork.

2. Inspection report per batch. You get a PDF with actual measured values for every critical dimension—bore ID, TIR, slot width, hardness. Not a generic certificate. Real numbers from a calibrated CMM, signed by our QC lead.

3. One factory for CNC + stamping + spring + heatsink. Your collet chuck might need a stamped retainer ring, a spring for the drawbar, or a heatsink for the spindle motor. We make all of those in-house. One purchase order, one shipping date, one quality standard. You skip the headache of coordinating three suppliers.

Where these parts are used

Custom 5C collets are not just for manual lathes. They go into:

  • CNC lathe turrets with quick-change collet chucks, holding bar stock from 1 mm to 25 mm diameter.
  • Swiss-type screw machines where runout below 0.010 mm is mandatory for medical bone screws or watch pinions.
  • Secondary operations on milled parts—using a 5C collet block on a vertical mill to drill cross-holes.
  • High-speed spindle workholding for toolroom prototypes, where you need a different bore size every week.
  • Automated cells with bar feeders, where collet ID wear is tracked and replaced on a schedule.

In each case, the collet is the last thing between the spindle and the part. If it is off, nothing else matters.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: What is your MOQ for a custom 5C collet set? A: No MOQ. Order one collet for a trial, or a full set of 20. The unit price drops with quantity, but the tolerance and inspection are identical.

Q: How do you guarantee tolerance and quality? A: We hold ±0.005 mm on bore ID. Every collet is measured on a CMM, and we send you the report. If a collet fails your incoming inspection, we replace it at no cost—no return shipping needed.

Q: What is your lead time for a custom size? A: 7–12 days for standard 5C profiles (round, hex, square). Custom slot patterns or special step bores take 15 days. We ship via DHL or FedEx, door-to-door.

Q: Can you provide material certificates? A: Yes. We supply EN 10204 3.1 mill certificates for the bar stock, plus our own hardness and case-depth reports. All from the batch code on the collet.
