Custom CNC Machined 2J Collet Chuck

We grind the 5C taper on a dedicated cylindrical grinder. Bore concentricity is held to 0.005 mm TIR. Every chuck is deburred and passivated to prevent rust during transit.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Each heat lot gets a unique code. We record material cert, machining parameters, and inspection results against that code. If a problem appears in your line, we trace it back to the exact batch in minutes. No guesswork.

2. Inspection report per batch. You get a dimensional report with every shipment. It lists all critical features: taper angle, bore diameter, thread pitch, hardness, and surface finish. Our QC team uses a CMM and hardness tester calibrated monthly. If a dimension is out, we catch it before packing, not after you receive it.

3. One factory for CNC + stamping + springs + heat sinks. Your custom CNC collet chuck is often part of a larger assembly. We also make the springs, stamped retainers, and heat sinks that go around it. One purchase order, one quality system, one shipping point. Fewer suppliers, fewer delays.

Where these parts are used

5C collet chucks are not just for lathes. Our customers use them in:

  • Swiss-type CNC lathes for bar stock up to 26 mm diameter
  • Manual lathes with a 5C collet closer, replacing 3-jaw chucks for thin-wall parts
  • Rotary transfer machines where quick changeover matters
  • Grinding fixtures for holding hardened blanks on cylindrical grinders
  • Indexing heads on milling machines for hex or square stock
  • Automotive valve stems and hydraulic fittings, where concentricity under 0.01 mm is mandatory
  • Aerospace fasteners requiring full material traceability

In every case, the chuck must grip without marring the part and release without sticking. Our hardened and ground bore does exactly that.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: What is your MOQ? A: No MOQ. We make one prototype or a thousand production pieces. Tooling cost is amortized into the unit price for repeat orders.

Q: How do you guarantee tolerance and quality? A: We grind the taper and bore after heat treatment. Every batch gets a CMM inspection report. If a part is out of spec, we rework or scrap it before shipment, at our cost.

Q: What is your lead time for a custom CNC collet chuck? A: 7 working days for prototypes, 12 working days for production runs. For urgent orders, we can split the batch and ship the first 20 pieces in 3 days.

Q: Can you provide material certificates? A: Yes. We supply mill certificates for every heat, plus our own hardness and dimensional reports. All documents are in English and PDF format.
