This is a 15-type hex bore spring collet, machined to your exact drawing. We do not stock generic blanks and modify them. We start from raw bar stock and cut every feature—bore, hex, slots, and taper—to your specified tolerances. Each collet is verified before shipment, not sampled.
At a glance: Tolerance ±0.005 mm on bore and hex, surface finish Ra 0.4, lead time 7–12 days, no MOQ, material certs included.
You send the drawing. We machine the collet. You receive a part that fits your auto lathe spindle and holds your hex stock without chatter.

We use wire EDM for the relief slots, not milling. This gives a cleaner cut, no burr, and consistent slot width across the batch. The taper is ground after heat treatment, not before, so the geometry does not distort.
1. Batch-traceable quality. Every collet gets a unique batch number. That batch number ties to the material heat number, the machine operator, the heat treatment furnace log, and the final inspection data. If you have a problem on your line six months from now, we can pull the exact records for that batch and tell you what happened. No guesswork.
2. Inspection report per batch. You do not have to trust our word. Each batch ships with a dimensional report listing every critical feature—bore size, hex across flats, taper angle, concentricity, hardness. The report is signed by the QC engineer, not a machine. If you need a third-party inspection (SGS, TÜV), we arrange it at cost.
3. One factory for CNC + stamping + springs + heat sinks. You are not our only product line. We run CNC machining, metal stamping, spring coiling, and heat sink fabrication under one roof. If your collet is part of a larger assembly—say a spring-loaded chuck or a heat-sinked spindle—you send us the whole package. One purchase order, one shipping point, one quality system. Fewer suppliers means fewer arguments about who is responsible when something does not fit.
This 15-type hex bore spring collet is used in automatic lathes (Swiss-type and cam-type) that feed hex bar stock. Typical applications:
The 15-type designation refers to the collet body size and taper, which matches common auto lathe spindles. If you are not sure whether your machine takes a 15-type, send us your spindle drawing or the old collet. We will confirm.

Q: What is your MOQ? A: No MOQ. We machine one piece if that is what you need. The price per piece is higher for a single unit, but the tooling and setup are the same. For 100 pieces, the unit price drops significantly. Ask for a quote at both quantities.
Q: How do you guarantee tolerance and quality? A: We cut the bore and hex on a CNC lathe with a live tool, then grind the taper after heat treatment. Final inspection is done on a CMM and a taper gauge. Every piece is checked, not just the first and last. The inspection report is included with the shipment.
Q: What is your lead time for custom CNC collet chuck? A: 7 days for up to 50 pieces, 12 days for up to 500 pieces. If you need it faster, we can run a rush order for an additional 20% surcharge, subject to machine availability. We do not quote a lead time we cannot meet.
Q: Do you provide material certificates? A: Yes. Every batch ships with a mill certificate for the raw material, a heat treatment report, and a hardness test certificate. If your customer requires EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2, we can provide it for an additional fee.
Send us your drawing in PDF, STEP, or IGES format. We will review the tolerances, confirm the material, and send you a firm quote within 12 hours. No obligation, no hidden tooling charges. We are a precision manufacturing factory in Dongguan, China, with 20 years of experience in CNC machining, stamping, springs, and heat sinks. Your custom CNC collet chuck is made in China, but it is made to your exact spec, not a local standard.
