Opening

This is a 32-type hex bore spring collet, machined to your exact drawing. We do not sell off-the-shelf approximations. Every collet is cut from your print, with hex geometry and bore dimensions verified before shipment. If the drawing is right, the collet is right.

At a glance: Tolerance ±0.005 mm on bore and hex flats, surface finish Ra 0.4, lead time 7–10 working days, no MOQ. Made in China, shipped from our Dongguan factory.

Custom CNC Collet Chuck Auto Lathe 46 Type Round Bar Stock

We use CNC lathes with live tooling for the outer taper and bore, then wire EDM for the slits. This gives consistent slot width and no deformation after heat treatment. We do not grind the bore after EDM unless your drawing requires it — we can, but it adds cost. Tell us what you need.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Every heat treatment batch gets a furnace log. Every machining batch gets a traveler card. If a problem shows up in your line, we trace it back to the exact material lot and operator shift. No guesswork.

2. Inspection report per batch. You get a dimensional report for each batch, not just a sample. Bore size, hex flat width, concentricity, hardness — all measured and recorded. We use a CMM for the critical dimensions and a Rockwell tester for hardness. The report is in PDF, sent with the shipment.

3. One factory for CNC + stamping + springs + heat sinks. Your collet is not the only part in your assembly. We also make the springs that push it, the stampings that hold it, and the heat sinks that cool it. One purchase order, one quality system, one shipping address. You save freight and you save argument.

Where these parts are used

This 32-type hex bore spring collet is for automatic lathes — the ones that feed hex bar stock. Typical applications:

  • Swiss-type CNC lathes for hex screws, bolts, and fittings. The collet grips the hex bar without marring the flats.
  • Multi-spindle automatics for high-volume brass and aluminum parts. The hex bore prevents rotation of the workpiece during drilling and tapping.
  • Secondary operations on pre-machined hex parts. You need a collet that holds a hex shoulder, not a round one.
  • Medical device manufacturing where small hex implants need repeatable concentricity. Our ±0.008 mm TIR holds up.
  • Fastener production for hex socket set screws and cap screws. The collet must survive millions of cycles — our 65Mn with HRC 48 handles that.

If you are cutting hex stock on a 32-type machine, this collet is the interface between your spindle and your part. Get it wrong, and every part is scrap. Get it right, and you run unattended.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: What is the MOQ? A: No MOQ. We make one piece for testing, or 10,000 for production. The unit price drops with quantity, but the tolerance does not change.

Q: How do you guarantee tolerance? A: We measure every collet. Bore and hex are checked with pin gauges and a CMM. Concentricity is checked on a precision mandrel. The inspection report is included with your shipment. If a dimension is out of spec, we replace it at our cost.

Q: What is your lead time? A: 7–10 working days for prototypes after drawing approval. Production orders of 500+ pieces take 15 days. We do not quote faster than we can deliver — that is a promise.

Q: Do you provide material certificates? A: Yes. We provide mill certificates for the raw material and our own heat treatment report. If you need third-party testing, we can arrange it at cost. For aerospace or medical, we add full traceability documentation.

Send your drawing
