Opening

You send the drawing. We machine the collet. Every unit is verified before shipment. No exceptions.

This is a 36 Type auto lathe collet, bored to match your hex bar stock. We hold roundness and concentricity to 0.005 mm. Hardness is checked on every batch.

  • Tolerance: 0.005 mm on bore and taper
  • Lead time: 7–10 working days for prototypes
  • Batch size: from 1 piece to 10,000 pieces
  • No MOQ. Ever.
  • Material certs included with every shipment

We are a precision manufacturing factory in Dongguan, China, with 20 years on CNC machining lines. Your collet is made to your print, not to a catalog guess.

Custom CNC Collet Chuck 25 Type Multi Slot Round Bore

We grind the bore after heat treatment. That is how we hold 0.005 mm. We do not skip this step.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality Every collet gets a unique batch number. We record raw material heat number, heat treatment furnace log, and final inspection data. If a problem shows up in your spindle, you can trace it back to the exact batch and process step. No guesswork.

2. Inspection report per batch You get a full dimensional report with every shipment. Bore size, taper angle, concentricity, hardness — all measured and recorded. We use a CMM and a hardness tester calibrated every 6 months. The report is signed by the QC lead, not an intern.

3. One factory for CNC + stamping + springs + heat sinks You are not just buying a collet. You are buying a supply chain. If your assembly needs a stamped retainer, a spring, or a heat sink for the spindle motor, we make those too. One purchase order, one quality system, one shipping date. Fewer vendors, fewer headaches.

Where these parts are used

A 36 Type collet with hex bore is not a generic part. It is used where round stock cannot do the job.

  • Swiss-type lathes and automatic screw machines — feeding hex brass or aluminum bar for electrical connectors and terminals.
  • Fastener manufacturing — holding hex stock for cold heading or machining of bolts, nuts, and fittings.
  • Hydraulic fittings — machining hex bar into adapter bodies and valve seats.
  • Medical device components — small hex titanium or stainless parts for surgical instruments, where concentricity is critical.
  • Aerospace secondary operations — re-machining hex stock for brackets or bushings after initial forming.

In each case, the collet must grip the hex flats without deforming the bar, and release it cleanly at high cycle rates. Our bore geometry and surface finish make that happen.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: Is there a minimum order quantity? A: No. We run a single piece for prototype validation. Production pricing starts at 50 pieces, but you can order 1 piece at prototype pricing. No MOQ is a policy, not a trick.

Q: How do you guarantee 0.005 mm tolerance? A: We grind the bore after heat treatment. We measure every part on a CMM. If a part is out of spec, it is scrapped, not shipped. You receive an inspection report with the batch.

Q: What is your lead time for a custom collet? A: 7 working days for a sample, 15 working days for a production batch of up to 5,000 pieces. If you need faster, tell us at the quote stage — we can split the batch and ship partials.

Q: Can you provide material certificates? A: Yes. Every batch includes a mill certificate for the raw material and a heat treatment report. If you need third-party testing, we can arrange it at cost.
