This is a 50 Type collet for auto lathes, machined from round bar stock. It fits standard 50 Type spindle noses. The bore, thread, and taper are cut to your exact dimensions. We check each one with a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) before it leaves the floor.
Tolerance: ±0.005 mm on bore and taper
Lead time: 7–12 days for standard batches
No MOQ — order one piece or one thousand
Material: 20CrMnTi, 40Cr, or 65Mn steel, case-hardened to HRC 58–62
Surface: ground finish, Ra 0.4 µm on critical faces

We use CNC Swiss-type lathes and cylindrical grinders for the bore and taper. Heat treatment is done in-house in a controlled vacuum furnace. This gives us full control over hardness and distortion.
T
hree reasons buyers send us their drawings 1. Batch-traceable quality. Every batch gets a unique lot number. We record material heat numbers, machine settings, and inspection results. If a problem shows up in your line, we trace it back to the exact batch in minutes. You get a full report with every shipment.
2. Inspection report per batch. We do not sample. We measure every collet. Bore diameter, taper angle, thread pitch, concentricity — all checked on a CMM. The report is included with your parts. No extra charge. This is standard for us, not a premium service.
3. One factory for CNC, stamping, springs, and heat sinks. You send us one drawing package. We handle the collet, the spring-loaded pusher, the stamped washer, and the heat sink for your spindle motor. One supplier, one quality system, one shipping address. Fewer emails, fewer delays, fewer excuses.
W
here these parts are used 50 Type collets are common in high-volume turning shops. They hold round bar stock in auto lathes and Swiss-type machines. Typical applications:
Electrical connectors — brass and copper terminals, contact pins.
Hydraulic fittings — small bore adapters, check valve bodies.
In each case, the collet must grip the bar stock without marring it. The bore tolerance and surface finish determine whether your parts run at 8,000 RPM without vibration. We machine the bore to your exact stock diameter, with a relief for chip clearance.
Q
uestions buyers ask before ordering Q: What is your MOQ? A: No MOQ. We machine one prototype or a full production run. Prototypes ship in 5 days. Production batches of 100–10,000 pieces ship in 7–12 days.
Q: How do you guarantee tolerance and quality? A: Every collet is measured on a CMM. We send you the dimensional report with the shipment. If any part is out of spec, we replace it at no cost. Our tolerance is ±0.005 mm on critical features, verified per piece.
Q: What is your lead time for a custom design? A: For a standard 50 Type collet with your bore and thread dimensions, lead time is 7 days. For a fully custom design with new drawings, add 3–5 days for tooling and programming. We quote firm lead times with every order.
Q: Do you provide material certificates? A: Yes. Every batch includes a material certificate with heat number, chemical composition, and hardness test results. We also provide heat treatment reports and full dimensional inspection reports. All documents are in English.
