Custom CNC Collet Chuck 52 Type Front View Hex Bore Made in

We grind the taper after heat treatment. That keeps the mating surface true to the chuck body. Slots are wire-cut, not milled, so the expansion fingers flex evenly without cracking.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Every chuck gets a unique serial number. We track material heat number, heat treatment batch, and final inspection data against that number. If a problem appears on your line, we trace it to the exact process step. No guesswork.

2. Inspection report per batch. You get a full dimensional report with every shipment. Taper angle, OD, runout, hardness, and surface finish. We use a CMM and a profilometer. The report is signed by our QC lead, not a computer. If you need third-party inspection (SGS, TÜV), we arrange it at cost.

3. One factory for CNC + stamping + springs + heat sinks. Your collet chuck is not an isolated part. Many buyers pair it with a stamped washer, a compression spring, or a heat sink for the same assembly. We make all of them under one roof. One purchase order, one quality system, one shipping date. Fewer suppliers, fewer delays.

Where these parts are used

External expanding collet chucks are standard on automatic lathes (Swiss-type and cam-type) for second-operation work. Typical applications:

  • Hydraulic fittings: Hold a machined bore to cut the external hex or thread.
  • Automotive fuel injectors: Expand inside the nozzle bore to grind the seat.
  • Medical implant screws: Hold the internal hex to turn the thread profile.
  • Pneumatic valve spools: Locate on the internal bore to grind the land diameters.
  • Electric motor shafts: Expand in the center hole to machine the keyway.

The common thread: the part has a finished bore, and you need to machine the outside without scratching or distorting that bore. A custom CNC collet chuck does that with 0.005 mm repeatability.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: What is your MOQ? A: No MOQ. We make one prototype for your trial, then scale to production. Tooling cost is quoted separately for a single piece, then amortized over larger orders.

Q: How do you guarantee tolerance and quality? A: We grind the taper and OD after heat treatment. Every chuck is checked for runout on a precision mandrel. A CMM report is included per batch. If a dimension is out of spec, we replace the part at no cost, including freight.

Q: What is your lead time for custom chucks? A: 15–20 working days for standard materials and sizes. If you need a rush order, we can do 10 days for an additional 20% expedite fee. We confirm the exact date within 12 hours of receiving your drawing.

Q: Do you provide material certificates? A: Yes. We supply mill certificates for the raw material, heat treatment reports (hardness, case depth), and a RoHS/REACH declaration if required. All documents are in English.
