Custom CNC Collet Chuck 36 Type Hex Bore Auto Lathe Parts

We run these on Citizen, Star, and Tsugami auto lathes for the smaller range, and on CNC turning centers for the 300–700 mm sizes. Slots are cut after heat treatment to hold geometry. We do not grind after slotting unless your print calls for it.

Three Reasons Buyers Send Us Their Drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Every heat lot gets a unique code. We record material cert, heat treatment curve, and final inspection data against that code. If you have a failure in the field, we can trace it back to the exact batch in minutes. No guesswork.

2. Inspection report per batch. You get a CMM report with every shipment. Critical dimensions are measured on a Zeiss CMM, not a caliper. We also include a hardness test report and a surface roughness reading. If you need PPAP Level 3, we do that too.

3. One factory for CNC + stamping + spring + heatsink. Your collet chuck is not the only part you buy. We run a 20-year-old factory with CNC machining, metal stamping, springs, and heatsink lines under one roof. Send us the whole assembly. We coordinate the processes, reduce your supplier count, and cut your logistics cost. One purchase order, one quality standard.

Where These Parts Are Used

Custom CNC collet chucks from this series go into high-volume precision turning operations. Typical applications:

  • Medical device manufacturing: Gripping small titanium and stainless parts for bone screws and surgical instruments. The 25–50 mm range is common here.
  • Automotive fuel systems: Holding injector bodies and valve seats on Swiss-type lathes. Tolerances hold up over 100,000 cycles.
  • Aerospace fasteners: Collets for 300–700 mm bar stock in large CNC lathes. We case-harden to resist wear from Inconel and titanium.
  • Electronics connectors: Small collets for brass and copper pins, where surface finish on the gripping face prevents marking.
  • Hydraulic fittings: Steel collets for 60–120 mm tube ends, with slots cut to handle hex and round profiles.

If your part spins in a lathe, this collet holds it.

Questions Buyers Ask Before Ordering

Q: What is the minimum order quantity? A: No MOQ. We machine one prototype for you to test, then scale to your production volume. Many buyers start with a single piece to verify fit and runout.

Q: How do you guarantee tolerance and concentricity? A: We cut slots after heat treatment to avoid distortion. Then we measure every unit on a CMM. Concentricity is held to 0.01 mm TIR. If it does not meet your print, we do not ship it.

Q: What is the lead time for a custom collet? A: 15 days for a prototype, 20 days for production batches. If you need it faster, tell us. We have a fast-track line for emergency replacements.

Q: Do you provide material certificates? A: Yes. Every batch ships with a mill certificate for the raw material, a heat treatment report, and our inspection data. Third-party certification is available on request.
