Opening

Your drawing defines the bore. We define the repeatability.

We machine auto lathe spring collets and pin slot chucks to your exact print. Round bore, square bore, hex bore—if you can dimension it, we hold it. Every collet is verified before shipment. No exceptions.

  • Tolerance: ±0.005 mm on bore ID
  • Lead time: 7–12 working days for prototypes
  • No MOQ—order one piece or ten thousand
  • Material: 65Mn, 60Si2Mn, 9Cr18, or your spec
  • Inspection report included with every batch

This is precision manufacturing for people who measure twice. We are a CNC machine shop in Dongguan, China, with 20 years of experience cutting steel for automatic lathes, Swiss machines, and multi-spindle units. Send us your drawing. We will quote it in 12 hours.

Custom CNC Collet Chuck 46 Type Triangle Bore Spring Collet

We run these on Citizen and Star CNC lathes for the collet bodies, then finish slots with wire EDM. Heat treatment is done in-house with a vacuum furnace, so we control distortion. Centerless grinding brings the OD to spec after hardening. Every collet gets a final bore check with an air gauge—if it does not pass, it does not ship.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Each heat number is recorded. Each batch gets a unique job number. If you need to trace a collet back to its steel coil, we can do it in minutes. We keep records for five years.

2. Inspection report per batch. You do not have to trust us. You get data. For every batch, we send a dimensional report with actual measured values, not just "passed." You also get a hardness certificate and material mill cert. If you want a full CMM report, we include it.

3. One factory for CNC, stamping, springs, and heat sinks. Your collet chuck might be a small part of a bigger assembly. We also run metal stamping lines, spring coiling machines, and heat sink fabrication. You send us one drawing package. We coordinate all processes under one roof. Fewer suppliers, fewer delays, one invoice.

Where these parts are used

Custom CNC collet chucks are not shelf items. They are made for specific machines and specific jobs.

  • Automatic lathe workholding: Spring collets for Citizen, Star, Tsugami, and Hanwha Swiss-type lathes. Round bore for bar stock, pin slot for pre-machined parts.
  • Pin slot chucks for secondary operations: When you need to hold a part with a drilled pin hole, a pin slot chuck locates the part and clamps it without marring the surface. Common in valve body machining and hydraulic fitting production.
  • Multi-spindle machines: 6-slot collets for high-volume screw machine work. We hold concentricity under 0.01 mm so your parts stay consistent across all spindles.
  • Medical device manufacturing: Small-diameter collets (1–3 mm) for guidewires and implant pins. Clean, burr-free slots, passivated surfaces.
  • Automotive fuel systems: Pin slot chucks for holding injector bodies during porting. Hardened to HRC 58 so they survive millions of cycles.

If you are cutting bar stock or re-clamping a part with a pin, this collet is the interface between your machine and your part. Get it wrong, and every part is wrong. Get it right, and you forget it is there.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: What is your MOQ? A: No MOQ. We make one prototype for you to test, or we run 100,000 pieces. Tooling cost is quoted separately for small batches, but it is amortized if you repeat the order.

Q: How do you guarantee tolerance and quality? A: We use a CMM and air gauges for 100% inspection of critical bores. Each batch ships with a dimensional report, material cert, and hardness test. If a part is out of spec, we replace it at no cost, including shipping.

Q: What is your lead time? A: Standard lead time is 7–12 working days for prototypes, 15–20 working days for production runs. We can expedite to 5 days for a small surcharge if your machine is down.

Q: Do you provide material certificates? A: Yes. Every batch includes a mill test certificate for the raw material. If you need third-party testing (SGS, TÜV), we can arrange it at cost.
