Opening

This is a CNC machined auto lathe 36 type collet chuck, external thread, rear closeup. We make it to your drawing. Not from a catalog. Not from a stock photo.

Every unit is verified before shipment. We check thread pitch, taper angle, and concentricity on each piece. If it does not pass, it does not ship.

  • Tolerance: ±0.005 mm on critical diameters
  • Lead time: 15–20 days for custom batches
  • No MOQ: order 1 piece or 10,000 pieces
  • Material: 20CrMnTi or 40Cr, case-hardened to HRC 58–62
  • Surface: black oxide or phosphate, per your spec

This is precision manufacturing for people who measure twice. If you need a drop-in replacement or a custom variant, send the drawing. We will quote it.

Custom CNC Collet Chuck 25 Type Hex Bore Spring Collet

We run these on Citizen and Star Swiss lathes for the body, then grind the taper on a Studer. Heat treatment is done in-house in a vacuum furnace. This gives us control over distortion. We do not outsource critical steps.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Each batch gets a heat number and a work order number. If a part fails in your machine, we can trace it back to the exact heat treatment cycle and tooling setup. We keep records for 10 years.

2. Inspection report per batch. You get a full dimensional report with every shipment. It lists thread pitch, taper angle, hardness, and concentricity. No surprises. No "we checked it, trust us." You see the numbers.

3. One factory for CNC + stamping + spring + heatsink. We run four production lines under one roof. If your collet chuck goes into an assembly that also needs a stamped bracket, a compression spring, or a heat sink, we make all of it. One purchase order. One quality system. One freight bill. This cuts your supplier management time in half.

Where these parts are used

A 36 type collet chuck with external thread rear is not a generic part. It is used where spindle speed and repeatability matter.

  • Swiss-type CNC lathes: Workholding for bar stock up to 36 mm diameter. The external thread rear mounts directly to the spindle draw tube.
  • Automatic lathes (cam or CNC): High-volume production of small turned parts like pins, bushings, and valve components.
  • Secondary machining stations: Where a part must be re-clamped for a second operation with a different tool path.
  • Medical device manufacturing: Small titanium or stainless parts that need clean, burr-free clamping.
  • Aerospace fasteners: High-strength bolts and inserts where thread accuracy is critical.

In all these cases, the collet chuck is the interface between the spindle and the workpiece. If it flexes, your part is scrap. We make it rigid.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: What is your MOQ? A: No MOQ. We make one piece for a prototype or 10,000 for production. The per-piece price drops with quantity, but we do not turn away a single-piece order.

Q: How do you guarantee tolerance and quality? A: We grind the taper after heat treatment, not before. We check 100% of threads with a go/no-go gauge. We measure concentricity on a CMM. You get a batch inspection report with the shipment. If a part is out of spec, we replace it at our cost.

Q: What is your lead time for a custom CNC collet chuck? A: 15 days for a prototype, 20 days for production runs. If you need it faster, tell us. We can split the batch and ship partial quantities.

Q: Do you provide material certificates? A: Yes. Every batch comes with a mill certificate for the raw material and a heat treatment report. If you need third-party testing, we can arrange it at cost.
