Opening

Your drawing defines the part. We machine it to your exact dimensions, verify it before shipment, and back it with a full inspection report. No surprises.

This is a 36-type round bore spring collet chuck for auto lathes. It holds bar stock or workpieces with concentric gripping force, designed for high-speed turning and Swiss-type machining.

  • Tolerance: ±0.005 mm on bore diameter and taper angle
  • Lead time: 7–12 days for prototypes, 15–20 days for production runs
  • No MOQ: order one piece or one thousand
  • Material: 20CrMnTi or 65Mn, case-hardened to 58–62 HRC

We are a precision manufacturing factory in Dongguan, China, with 20 years of CNC machining experience. Every collet chuck is made to your drawing, not from stock blanks.

Custom CNC Collet Chuck Sets 15 20 25 32

We use CNC lathes and internal grinders for the bore and taper. Wire cutting handles the spring slots. Heat treatment is done in-house with a vacuum furnace for consistent hardness. Each batch is traceable to its raw material lot number.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality Every collet chuck gets a unique batch number. We record raw material certificates, heat treatment curves, and final inspection data for that batch. If you need to trace a part back to its steel coil, we can do it in minutes.

2. Inspection report per batch You get a full inspection report with every shipment. It includes bore diameter measurements, taper angle checks, hardness readings, and concentricity data. No generic certificates. Real numbers from real instruments.

3. One factory for CNC, stamping, springs, and heat sinks We run CNC machining, metal stamping, spring manufacturing, and heat sink production lines under one roof. Your collet chuck can be paired with springs, stamped housings, or heat sinks in the same order. Fewer suppliers, fewer logistics headaches, one quality standard.

Where these parts are used

This 36-type round bore collet chuck is used in automatic lathes and CNC turning centers. Common applications include:

  • Bar feeding in Swiss-type lathes – holds round stock from Ø3 mm to Ø36 mm for precision turning of small components
  • High-speed turning of fasteners – grips hex, square, or round blanks for bolts, screws, and pins
  • Second-operation machining – holds pre-machined parts for drilling, tapping, or milling
  • Watch and instrument parts – concentric gripping for tiny shafts and gears where runout must stay under 0.01 mm
  • Automotive fuel injector components – stable clamping for hard materials like stainless steel and Inconel

The spring collet design provides fast open-close cycles and consistent gripping force, which reduces cycle time and scrap in production runs.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: What is your MOQ? A: No MOQ. We make one prototype or a full production run. Many buyers start with a single piece to verify fit and finish.

Q: How do you control tolerance and quality? A: We machine to ±0.005 mm on the bore and taper. Each piece is measured with a bore gauge and a CMM for taper angle. Hardness is tested on a Rockwell tester. The inspection report is included with your shipment.

Q: What is the lead time? A: Prototypes ship in 7–12 days. Production batches of 100–500 pieces ship in 15–20 days. Rush orders are possible for an additional fee.

Q: Can you provide material certificates? A: Yes. We provide mill certificates for raw material, heat treatment reports, and our own dimensional inspection report. All documents are in English.
