Opening

Your drawing becomes a finished CNC collet chuck, verified before shipment. We machine the 46 Type round bore spring collet to your exact dimensions. Every unit is checked against your print. No guesswork.

  • Tolerance: ±0.005 mm on bore and taper
  • Lead time: 15–20 working days for custom batches
  • No MOQ — order one piece or one thousand
  • Material: 65Mn, GCr15, or 20CrMnTi per your spec
  • Made in China, shipped from Dongguan

Specifications

We run a dedicated auto lathe line for collet chucks. The 46 Type refers to the spindle nose size — a common fit for Swiss-type and multi-spindle auto lathes. The round bore is ground after heat treatment to hold consistent clamping force.

Custom CNC Collet Chuck 30 Type Auto Lathe Round Bar Stock

We use CNC lathes for the outer profile, then wire EDM for the slots. Grinding is done on a jig grinder to hold the bore and taper concentric within 0.005 mm. Each chuck is serialized and stored with its inspection record for three years.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Every heat lot is tracked. Hardness test reports are attached to each batch. If you need to trace a part back to its material melt, we can do it. No mixed batches, no swapped steel.

2. Inspection report per batch. You get a dimensional report with actual measured values — not just a pass/fail stamp. Bore diameter, taper angle, slot width, hardness. All numbers are on paper. This saves your incoming QC time.

3. One factory for CNC + stamping + springs + heat sinks. Your collet chuck is not the only part you need. We also make springs, metal stampings, and heat sinks. Send us a full assembly drawing, and we coordinate all processes under one roof. Fewer suppliers, fewer delays, one shipping point.

Where these parts are used

The 46 Type round bore spring collet chuck is a workhorse in precision manufacturing. You will find it in:

  • Swiss-type CNC lathes — holding bar stock from 3 mm to 46 mm for medical screws, watch pins, and connector pins.
  • Multi-spindle auto lathes — clamping brass, aluminum, and stainless steel for high-volume automotive components.
  • Secondary machining fixtures — used as a workholding device on CNC milling machines for parts that need a round bore reference.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic clamping systems — retrofitted into custom chucks for valve bodies and fittings.
  • Instrumentation housings — where runout below 0.01 mm is required for sensor bodies and probe tips.

If your part needs a collet that grips round stock without marking it, this is the chuck to specify.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: What is your MOQ? A: No MOQ. We accept a single piece for prototype validation. Production orders of 500+ pieces get a price break. Tooling cost is amortized into the unit price for small batches.

Q: How do you control tolerance and quality? A: We grind the bore and taper after heat treatment. Each chuck is measured on a CMM and a hardness tester. The inspection report is included with shipment. If a dimension is out of spec, we replace the part at no cost.

Q: What is your lead time? A: Standard custom collets are 15–20 working days from drawing approval. For standard 46 Type sizes with common bores, we can ship in 7–10 working days. Urgent orders are possible if your material is in stock.

Q: Can you provide material certificates? A: Yes. We supply mill certificates for the raw material, heat treatment reports, and a full dimensional inspection report. All documents are in English and stamped by our QC department.
