Your drawing defines the part. We manufacture it.

We machine 52-type collets for automatic lathes from hex bar stock. Every collet is made to your exact drawing and verified before shipment. No guesswork. No deviations.

  • Tolerance: ±0.005 mm on bore and hex geometry
  • Lead time: 7–12 working days for standard batches
  • No MOQ: order 1 piece or 1,000 pieces
  • Material: 20CrMnTi, 40Cr, or 65Mn steel
  • Hardness: 58–62 HRC after heat treatment

We are a precision manufacturing factory in Dongguan, China, with 20 years of experience in CNC machining, metal stamping, springs, and heat sinks. Your collet is made on Swiss-type auto lathes and CNC grinders, then inspected with CMM and air gauges.

Custom CNC Auto Lathe 643 Type Round Bore Spring Collet Chuc

All collets are deburred and pass a 100% fit test with a master hex bar before packing.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Each batch gets a unique heat number and work order. We record material certificates, heat treatment parameters, and final inspection results. If a problem appears in your production, we trace it back to the exact batch and operator. This is standard for us, not an extra service.

2. Inspection report per batch. You receive a dimensional report for every batch, not just a sample. We measure bore diameter, hex width, concentricity, and hardness on each collet. The report is signed by our QC engineer and sent to you with the shipment.

3. One factory for CNC, stamping, spring, and heat sink. Your collet is not the only part in your machine. We also make stamped components, precision springs, and heat sinks. Send us your full BOM, and we coordinate all parts under one roof. Fewer suppliers, fewer logistics issues, faster assembly for you.

Where these parts are used

52-type collets with hex bar stock are used in automatic lathes and CNC turning centers for machining hexagonal bars. Typical applications:

  • Fastener production: hex bolts, nuts, and cap screws where the collet holds the hex bar without slipping.
  • Hydraulic fittings: hex-shaped bodies for adapters, couplings, and valve cores.
  • Automotive components: sensor housings, fuel injector parts, and brake fittings machined from hex stock.
  • Electrical connectors: hex brass or steel terminals for power distribution.
  • Pneumatic tools: hex drive shafts and couplings for impact wrenches and air tools.

The collet’s hex bore grips the bar stock securely, preventing rotation during high-speed machining. This reduces cycle time and improves thread and hex machining accuracy.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: Do you have a minimum order quantity? A: No. We accept orders from 1 piece. For prototypes, we charge a small setup fee. For production batches, the setup fee is waived. No MOQ, no hidden charges.

Q: How do you control tolerance and quality? A: We use CNC grinders with in-process gauging. After machining, each collet is checked with an air gauge and CMM. Our tolerance is ±0.005 mm on the bore, and we provide a full inspection report per batch. If any collet fails, we replace it at no cost.

Q: What is your lead time for custom collets? A: Prototype (1–5 pieces): 7 working days. Production (50+ pieces): 12 working days. For urgent orders, we can expedite to 5 days with a 15% rush fee. We ship via DHL, FedEx, or UPS worldwide.

Q: Can you provide material certificates and heat treatment reports? A: Yes. We supply mill certificates for raw material, heat treatment curves, and hardness test reports. All documents are in English and included with the shipment.
