Custom CNC Auto Lathe 50 Type Round Bore Spring Collet Chuck

We run these on our own CNC lathes and grinding machines. The factory has 20 years of precision manufacturing experience. We do not outsource heat treatment or grinding—control stays in-house.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Each collet chuck gets a unique batch number. Material heat number, heat treatment furnace record, and inspection data are all linked to that number. If you need to trace a part back to its steel coil, we can show you the chain.

2. Inspection report per batch. You do not have to trust us. We send a dimensional report with every shipment. It covers bore diameter, taper angle, slot width, concentricity, and hardness. The report matches your drawing callouts line by line. If something is off, we catch it before packing, not after you install it.

3. One factory for CNC, stamping, springs, and heat sinks. Your collet chuck is often part of a larger assembly. We make the chuck, the springs inside it, and the heat sink nearby. You send one drawing package, get one quote, one quality standard, and one shipping point. Fewer vendors, fewer delays, fewer arguments about who is responsible for fit.

Where these parts are used

The 55 Type Round Bore Spring Collet Chuck is a workhorse in automatic lathes. Common applications include:

  • Swiss-type and sliding headstock lathes for holding bar stock from 3 mm to 55 mm diameter during high-speed turning.
  • Multi-spindle automatic lathes in automotive fastener production—holding hex, round, and profile blanks.
  • Secondary machining operations where a collet chuck grips a finished part for drilling, milling, or slotting without marring the surface.
  • Medical device manufacturing for small-diameter stainless parts that need clean, repeatable gripping without cross-contamination.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic clamping systems where the collet is actuated by drawbar pull and needs consistent clamping force over thousands of cycles.

The round bore design suits round stock. The spring steel body flexes within its elastic limit, so the collet returns to its original shape after release. That repeatability is what keeps your cycle times stable and your scrap rate low.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: Is there a minimum order quantity? A: No MOQ. We machine one piece for prototype validation or 10,000 for production. The per-piece price drops with quantity, but the process control stays identical.

Q: What tolerance can you hold on the bore and taper? A: Standard is ±0.005 mm on bore diameter and ±0.01 mm on taper angle. We can hold tighter if your drawing specifies it, but we will tell you honestly if it affects cost or lead time.

Q: What is your typical lead time? A: 15 working days for a prototype or small batch, 20 days for production runs. Heat treatment and grinding are the longest steps. If you need faster, we can discuss split delivery—ship what is done first, then the rest.

Q: Do you provide material certificates? A: Yes. Every batch comes with a mill certificate for the raw material, heat treatment report, and our dimensional inspection report. If your customer requires a specific standard (ASTM, DIN, JIS), we source to that standard and document it.
