Opening

Your 630 type collet is machined to your drawing, not a stock approximation. We verify every critical dimension before shipment.

  • Tolerance: ±0.005 mm on bore and taper
  • Lead time: 7–12 days for prototypes, 15–20 days for production
  • No MOQ—order one piece or ten thousand
  • Material: 20CrMnTi, 65Mn, or 40CrMo, case-hardened to 58–62 HRC

This is a custom CNC collet chuck for auto lathes running round bar stock. It grips 3 mm to 42 mm bar diameters, depending on your drawbar pull and spindle nose configuration. We make the body, the slots, and the taper to your print.

Custom CNC Auto Lathe 643 Type Round Bore Spring Collet Chuc

We run these on 5-axis CNC lathes and machining centers. For slot cutting, we use wire EDM to hold ±0.005 mm slot width without burrs. After heat treatment, we grind the bore and taper on a CNC internal grinder. Every collet is tested for concentricity under 0.008 mm TIR at the gripping zone.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Each heat number and batch is recorded. If you need to trace a part back to its raw material lot, we can do it in minutes. We keep records for five years.

2. Inspection report per batch. You get a dimensional report with every shipment. It lists bore diameter, taper angle, slot width, hardness, and surface roughness. No extra charge. If you need a full CMM report with 20+ points, we do that too.

3. One factory for CNC + stamping + springs + heatsinks. Your collet chuck might need a spring collet, a stamped retainer, or a heatsink for the spindle motor. We make all of them under one roof. That means fewer suppliers, less shipping, and one person to hold accountable.

Where these parts are used

A 630 type collet is a workholding component for automatic lathes—Swiss-type and fixed-headstock CNC lathes. It grips round bar stock while the spindle rotates. Common applications:

  • Precision shafts for electric motors, 6–20 mm diameter, runout under 0.01 mm
  • Fastener blanks—screws, bolts, and pins produced at 30–60 pieces per minute
  • Medical device components—small stainless steel parts like bone screws and drill guides, where surface finish and repeatability are critical
  • Automotive fuel injector parts—nozzle bodies and needles, requiring concentricity under 0.005 mm
  • Electronic connector pins—brass or beryllium copper, high volume, tight tolerances

In each case, the collet’s bore and taper must match your spindle nose exactly. A worn or off-spec collet causes bar pushback, vibration, and scrap. We machine to your drawing, so you get the grip force and repeatability your process needs.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: Do you have a minimum order quantity? A: No MOQ. We accept one-piece orders for prototypes or replacement parts. Production runs of 1,000+ get a volume discount, but the unit price is the same for 10 pieces.

Q: How do you control tolerance and quality? A: We use CNC machines with in-process probing. After machining, we check every collet for bore and taper with air gauges. A sample from each batch goes to the CMM for a full 3D report. You get that report with the shipment.

Q: What is your lead time? A: Prototypes (1–10 pieces) ship in 7 days. Production orders (100–1,000) ship in 15–20 days. If you need faster, we can split the batch and air-ship the first 50 pieces.

Q: Can you provide material certificates? A: Yes. We supply mill certificates for raw material, heat treatment reports, and hardness test results. All documents are in English and sent with the invoice.

Send your drawing
