Custom CNC Collet Chuck 36 Type Auto Lathe Precision Made in

We run both CNC Swiss lathes and fixed-head auto lathes. For double ended collets, we use wire EDM to cut the slots after heat treatment. This keeps slot width consistent and burr-free. We do not grind slots; we cut them with EDM for repeatability.

Three reasons buyers send us their drawings

1. Batch-traceable quality. Each batch gets a unique heat number and process card. We record material cert, heat treatment curve, and final inspection data. If you have a problem six months later, we trace it back to the exact batch and machine. No guesswork.

2. Inspection report per batch. You receive a dimensional report with every shipment. CMM data for bore, OD, slot width, concentricity. Hardness test results. Material cert from the mill. This is not a generic "QC passed" sticker. It is real numbers you can audit.

3. One factory for CNC + stamping + springs + heat sinks. Your collet chuck is not the only part in your assembly. We also run stamping dies, coil springs, and aluminum heat sinks. Send us the whole BOM. One supplier, one shipping point, one invoice. Fewer emails, fewer delays, lower logistics cost.

Where these parts are used

Double ended collet chucks are clamping devices for automatic lathes. They hold round, hex, or square bar stock during machining. Common applications:

  • Swiss-type CNC lathes – clamping small diameter stock (3-20 mm) for watch parts, medical screws, dental implants.
  • Multi-spindle auto lathes – high volume production of brass fittings, valve cores, electrical terminals.
  • Secondary machining fixtures – holding finished parts for drilling, tapping, or slotting on CNC mills.
  • Pneumatic clamping systems – used in automated assembly lines for quick changeover between part sizes.
  • Hydraulic chucks – for heavy duty turning of steel bars in transfer lines.

The double ended design means you can flip the collet when one end wears. This doubles service life. It is common in high cycle production where tool change downtime is expensive.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Q: What is your MOQ? A: No MOQ. We accept one piece for prototype validation. For production, we suggest ordering at least 50 pieces to amortize setup cost, but it is not required.

Q: How do you control tolerance and concentricity? A: We machine the OD and bore in one clamping setup on the CNC lathe. This eliminates runout from re-chucking. After heat treatment, we wire EDM the slots. Final concentricity is verified on a CMM with a 0.5 µm resolution. We hold ±0.005 mm on critical diameters.

Q: What is your lead time? A: 15-20 working days for standard materials and heat treatment. If you need expedited service, we can do 10 working days for an additional 15% surcharge, subject to material availability.

Q: Do you provide material certificates? A: Yes. We provide mill test certificates for the raw material, heat treatment records, and hardness test reports. All documents are in English and can be notarized if your customer requires it.
