This is a precision manufacturing product for engineers who need repeatable runout and secure tool clamping. We build ER32 spring collet chucks from solid steel or alloy, with a ground taper and hardened nut threads.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Collet type | ER32 (compatible with standard ER32 collets) |
| Shank options | Straight (16/20/25 mm), CAT40, BT40, or custom |
| Material | 20CrMnTi (case-hardened), 42CrMo (through-hardened), or 17-4PH stainless |
| Hardness | Core HRC 38–42, surface HRC 58–62 |
| Machining process | CNC turning, CNC milling, then cylindrical grinding |
| Taper accuracy | Ground to AT3 or better |
| Runout (TIR) | ≤ 0.005 mm at nose, ≤ 0.010 mm at 100 mm from nose |
| Surface finish | Ra 0.4 µm on taper, Ra 0.8 µm on body |
| Thread | M12 x 1.5 or custom, cut or rolled |
| Balance | G2.5 at 20,000 RPM (optional) |
| Coating | Black oxide, TiN, or none (as per drawing) |
| Inspection | 100% critical dimensions, CMM report per batch |
| Batch size | 1–10,000 pieces, no MOQ |
We use 5-axis CNC mills and CNC lathes from Mazak and Doosan. Grinding is done on Studer cylindrical grinders. Every chuck is deburred, cleaned, and oiled before packing.
1. Batch-traceable quality. Each batch gets a unique heat number and production lot code. We keep records for 5 years. If you have a field failure, we can trace the material certificate, machine operator, and inspection data for that specific batch.
2. Inspection report per batch. You get a dimensional report with actual measured values, not just a pass/fail sheet. We measure taper angle, runout, hardness, and thread pitch. The report is signed by our QC engineer and sent with the shipment.
3. One factory for CNC + stamping + springs + heat sinks. Your collet chuck might need a spring, a stamped retainer, or a heat sink for a thermal test. We make all of them under one roof. You save logistics cost, avoid tolerance mismatches between suppliers, and get one point of contact for quality.
Buyers typically send us a drawing when they need a custom shank length, a special thread, or a hardened version of a standard chuck. We also make double-angle collet chucks for high-torque applications.

Q: What is your MOQ? A: No MOQ. We accept one-piece orders for prototypes and small batches. The unit price drops with quantity, but we don’t force you to buy more than you need.
Q: How do you guarantee tolerance and quality? A: We grind the taper and nose after heat treatment. Runout is measured on a precision mandrel with a dial indicator. Every batch includes a CMM report. If a part fails your incoming inspection, we replace it at our cost.
Q: What is your lead time? A: Standard ER32 chucks: 15–20 days. Custom shanks or special materials: 20–25 days. We can expedite to 10 days for urgent orders, subject to material availability.
Q: Do you provide material certificates? A: Yes. We supply EN 10204 3.1 material certificates for steel and stainless. Hardness test reports and coating thickness certificates are available on request.
